The Wild North Shack
Our Story
The Wild North Shack is a "Micro Flower Farm + Apiary" located in Brant County, ON and owned by Shannon - a homesteading hippy, who believes in keeping things simple + natural.
I grow over 40 varieties of fresh cut flowers, along with vegetables, native pollinator plants, edible flowers, and honey - from Early Spring until frost.
I do not treat my flowers with any chemicals or pesticides. All flowers are grown with sustainable practices and organic seed to benefit my honey bees and the native pollinators. I’ve grown an entire wildflower garden of native perennials for food sources and habitats for the birds, bees, butterflies, and other native pollinators.
What we offer
We offer a wide range of seasonal, homegrown, fresh cut (or dried) flowers from Spring to Fall.
Our services include, but are not limited to: our roadside stand located in Jerseyville, bouquet subscriptions, wreaths, wholesale, retail, workshops, weddings and events.
In fall we have mini pumpkins, gourds, and specialty pumpkins at the roadside stand. We also offer mini dried floral pumpkins, an annual fall bulb sale, and fall themed workshops with florals.
In the winter months, we source local grown greenery to create beautiful holiday decor and have an annual tuber/seed/seedling sale in late winter/early spring.
Anything flower related - we probably do it.
